(a)   A majority of the electors voting thereon having approved, by an official question submitted for the election held on November 8, 2016, the levying of a retailer’s sales tax at the rate of one percent (1.00%) in the City of Ozawkie for the general purpose of providing infrastructure maintenance is hereby levied and shall take effect on July 1, 2017.

(b)   Except as may otherwise be provided by law, such tax shall be identical in its application and exemptions therefrom to the Kansas Retailers’ Sales Tax Act and all laws and administrative rules and regulations of the Kansas Department of Revenue relating to the state retailer’s sales tax shall apply to such city retailers’ sales tax insofar as such laws and regulations may be made applicable. The services of the Department of Revenue shall be utilized to administer, enforce and collect such tax.

(a)   The following are designated as main trafficways of the city pursuant to K.S.A. 12-685 et seq. for purposes of bond financing certain improvements:

(1)   Kansa from Main to Delaware;

(2)   Sioux from Sunflower to Central;

(3)   Delaware from Goldenrod to North Circle;

(4)   Sunflower from Main to Delaware;

(5)   Kiowa from Sunflower Curve to Coyote; and

(6)   Goldenrod from Kansa to Delaware.
